Despite having their seasons cut short, the Hamline athletic department would like to recognize and honor the 2020 senior spring class of student-athletes. These 37 individuals have made a lasting impact on their program and the Hamline campus as a whole. Jake Dujmovic  |  Baseball  |  Business Analytics and Management Major
Jake Dujmovic has been an incredibly versatile player for the Hamline baseball team for the past four years, making significant contributions to the team on the mound, in the batter's box, and in the infield. He has played in 118 games as a Piper, pitching 82 innings, collecting 81 hits, and driving in 47 runs. Dujmovic was a constant threat to get on base, also collecting 58 walks throughout his career. As a fielder, he recorded 119 putouts and 217 assists. In 2019, he hit for a .271 average, had a .385 on-base percentage, and a 3.89 ERA. This season, Dujmovic had eight hits through the first nine games, with four of them being for extra-bases. He had driven in three runs and walked seven times. He had made three starts on the mound and struck out nine batters in his 15.2 innings of work, holding opponents to a .266 batting average. On campus, Dujmovic is also involved with Athletes in Action. Â Â

What were you most looking forward to for this spring season?
I was looking forward to finishing out my four years along with fellow seniors.

What is one of your favorite memories of your time at Hamline?
Team dinners and team gatherings have provided some of my favorite memories throughout my time at Hamline.

Who is someone that has had a positive impact on you during your time as a student-athlete?
Ben Resnick - he's really good at baseball and makes everyone around him better. I wish he had more opportunities to hit in a game.

What is your advice for your younger teammates?
During this time I realized how truly grateful I am to be a part of the Hamline baseball team and for the relationships I have built. So I encourage my teammates to stick with baseball; you won't regret it when it's all over.

What are you most proud of about your career as a student-athlete?
I am most proud of being able to contribute all four years as a shortstop and pitcher. I'm also proud to be part of a team that represents Hamline University positively both on and off the field.
