Pipers Cruise Past Cobbers 3-0 on Senior Night

SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University volleyball team's final home regular season bout of 2021 pitted them against Concordia Moorhead at Hutton Arena on Friday. The Pipers came through with their 10th 3-0 sweep of the season on Friday night against the Cobbers.

It was Senior Night for the Pipers as Megan Rubbelke, Gabby Robinson, Brynn Hendrickson, Emily Higley, Erin Tadych, Sydney Larson and Erin Leverington were recognized.

The Pipers stay in a three-way tie for first place with Gustavus Adolphus and Bethel in the MIAC with a 19-6, 9-1 MIAC record while Concordia Moorhead falls to 8-17, 1-9 MIAC.

Hamline 3, Concordia Moorhead 0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-20)

It was another day at the office for reigning MIAC Offensive Player of the Week Sydney Larson, who paced all players with 16 kills on a .256 hitting percentage. Jenna Rubbelke was all over the stat sheet with a game-high 28 digs and five service aces for the Pipers. Megan Rubbelke set up a Hamline offense that hit .205 in the match with 40 assists, and also contributed 12 digs. Julianna Boyum was also effective with 10 kills for the Pipers.

The Pipers will make the short trek to Bethel for their 2021 regular season finale tomorrow, Saturday, October 30 at 7:00 p.m.
