DULUTH, MINN.—The Hamline University men's soccer team faced first-year MIAC member St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota on Saturday afternoon. Both teams traded a goal en route to a 1-1 draw.
The tie gives Hamline a 2-8-2, 0-3-2 MIAC record, while St. Scholastica exits Saturday with a 6-6-1, 2-3-1 MIAC mark.

The Pipers managed to get even with the Saints despite being outshot 23-6. Finigan Huffington set the tone for St. Scholastica with a goal in the 35th minute to make the score 1-0. The first shot of the second half belonged to Hamline, which resulted in a goal courtesy of Robert Cooper in the 54th minute to knot the game at 1-1, where things stayed final. Logan Weller was credited with an assist on the play.
Luke Rimington made eight saves in 110:00 of work in net for Hamline, while Liam Lothian converted one save in a complete-game goalkeeping effort for St. Scholastica.
Four yellow cards were assessed in the contest, as each team was penalized twice.
The Pipers will host Carleton at Pat Paterson Field on Wednesday, October 13 at 4:00 p.m.
