SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University men's basketball team concluded a three-game home stand in a rare Tuesday-night affair against St. Mary's (Minn.). The Pipers never trailed in the second half, where they hung onto a 67-64 victory over the Cardinals.
Hamline's first MIAC victory of 2021-22 gives them a 2-3, 1-1 MIAC mark, while St. Mary's (Minn.) falls to 1-2, 1-1 MIAC.

Chasen Livingston's free throw with 10:39 remaining in the second half gave the Pipers their largest lead of the contest at 59-46, which ignited a 16-4 St. Mary's (Minn.) run that cut their deficit to one point at 63-62 with 1:09 remaining, capped by Owen Ziegler's three-pointer. Jake Larson would be fouled on two occasions in the game's final minute, and nailed all four of his free throw attempts to ice a 67-64 victory for Hamline.
Conner Krenos tallied 14 points for Hamline, while Larson followed with 12 points and five assists. Cooper Berg narrowly missed a double-double for the second game in a row as he tallied 11 points and nine boards.
Ziegler tallied a game-high 15 points off the bench for the Cardinals.
The Pipers will travel to Bethel on Wednesday, December 1 at 7:00 p.m.
