SARTELL, Minn. - In their second MIAC contest in the past three days, the Hamline men's tennis team (1-2, 0-2 MIAC) dropped their match with Saint John's (3-0, 3-0 MIAC) 8-1 on Sunday afternoon.

Nazeer Robinson gave the Pipers their only win of the day in No. 2 singles, finding a way to come back after falling in the first set 0-6. He bounced back in the second set, winning 7-5 and won the tiebreaker set 12-10. Robinson is currently 3-0 in the No. 2 spot for HU.

Dominic Warzecha had a close match in No. 4 singles, getting four games off his opponent in each set, but that was as close as he would get with the final scores ending at 4-6, 4-6. In No. 6 singles, first year
Elijah Krause also took multiple games off his opponent, but dropped the match 4-6, 3-6.

Tou Ger Xiong and first year
Isaac Hultberg conceded their matches 3-6, 1-6, respectively. First year
Sam Thompson played in the No. 5 spot, falling 0-6, 5-7.

Thompson and Warzecha took the most sets off their opponents in doubles, dropping their match 3-8 in the No. 3 slot. Xiong and Hultberg played together in the No. 2 doubles spot, yielding 2-8, and Krause and Robinson were blanked 0-8.

The Pipers get right back to it this week, taking on UW-La Crosse on Thursday, March 25 and St. Olaf on Saturday, March 27. Both matches will be played at Owatonna Tennis Center.
