OWATONNA, Minn. - The Hamline men's tennis team (1-3) took on another non-conference opponent on Thursday evening, falling to UW-La Crosse 8-1 at Owatonna Tennis Center.

Nazeer Robinson and first year
Sam Thompson won a match for the Pipers, winning at No. 1 doubles, defeating Riley Peterson and Charlie Parish 8-3.

Tou Ger Xiong and first year
Isaac Hultberg played No. 2 doubles, dropping their set to Cole Contardi and Sam Diedrich 8-4. Sophomore
Sean Le and first year
Dominic Warzecha were in the No. 3 slot, falling to Grant Wolfe and Joshua Williams 8-3.

Robinson, who was 3-0 in No. 2 singles coming into today's match, played in the No. 1 spot against the Eagles, conceding his match 6-2, 6-3. Xiong played in the No. 2 spot, falling 6-2, 6-2. Warzecha played at No. 3, dropping his match 6-3, 6-0.

In No. 4 singles, Hultberg took his match to a tie-breaker set, ultimately falling 2-6, 6-4, 7-10. Thompson played at No. 5 singles, yielding 6-4, 6-0, and Le rounded out the group in the No. 6 slot, falling 6-3, 6-1.

The Pipers return to MIAC play this weekend, taking on St. Olaf on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at the Owatonna Tennis Center.
