OWATONNA, Minn. - The Hamline women's tennis team (0-4, 0-2 MIAC) headed to Owatonna Tennis Center on Saturday afternoon to take on St. Olaf in a MIAC matchup, falling 8-1. The Pipers got a match win from first year
Elise Bierbaum in No. 1 singles.

Bierbaum took down Sabrina Barboza in a tight match. Bierbaum took the first set 7-5, before falling in the second set 6-7 (6-8), but ultimately triumphed in the tie-breaker set, 10-5.

Taylor Vyskocil played in the No. 2 spot, falling to Allie Prokosch 6-2, 6-0 and junior
Taylor Hopkins fell 6-1, 6-0 in the No. 3 slot. First year
Lily Vang took multiple sets off her opponent in No. 4 singles, but conceded her match 6-3, 6-4. Senior
Janie Schwartz was in the No. 5 spot, dropping her match in straight sets 6-0, 6-0. First year
Jersi McAlpine played at No. 6, and was bested 6-0, 6-1.

In doubles, Vyskocil and Vang had the most success for the Pipers, winning three games in the No. 2 spot. Both Bierbaum and senior
Yee Thao (No. 1) and Buerman and Schwartz (No. 3) were shutout 8-0.

Hamline will look to bounce back next weekend, when they host UW-Superior at Rogers Tennis Center for a 10:00 a.m. match.
