ROGERS, Minn. - The Hamline women's tennis team (1-4, 0-2 MIAC) picked up their first win of the season in impressive fashion, blowing by UW-Superior (2-5) 9-0 at Rogers Tennis Club on Saturday morning.

In doubles, the Pipers gave up only one game in each match, winning 8-1 on all three courts. First year Elise Bierbaum and junior Taylor Hopkins paired up at No. 1, first years Taylor Vyskocil and Lily Vang played at No. 2, and first year Jersi McAlpine and senior Janie Schwartz were in the No. 3 slot.

The singles play was just as dominant, as no one gave up more than two games in a set. Bierbaum was in the No. 1 spot, defeating Chiyono Owa 6-1, 6-0. Vyskocil played at No. 2, winning 6-2, 6-0. At No. 3, Vang took down Olivia Roberts 6-2, 6-1. Hopkins (No. 4), Schwartz (No. 5), and first year Peyton Buerman (No. 6) each won their match with 6-0, 6-0 decisions.
