ROGERS, Minn. - The Hamline men's tennis team (2-7, 1-5 MIAC) earned their first conference win of the season on Saturday afternoon, defeating Concordia Moorhead (0-7, 0-5 MIAC) 7-2 at Rogers Tennis Club.
 
This was the Pipers' second straight win over the Cobbers and third in the past four matchups.
 
HU had a strong showing in doubles play, winning all three doubles matches. Senior 
Nazeer Robinson and first year 
Sam Thompson cruised past their opponents in the No. 1 spot, winning 8-1. First years 
Dominic Warzecha and 
Isaac Hultberg were in the No. 2 spot, winning 8-3 and sophomores 
Allan Yang and 
Sean Le also triumphed in the No. 3 spot, 8-4.
 
Robinson also had a solid match in singles, giving up just one game in each set for a 6-1, 6-1 win. Hultberg matched his effort in the No. 3 slot, coming up with the same positive result.
 
Thompson battled in the No. 2 spot, coming out victorious in a 2-6, 6-3, 10-8 match. Warzecha was the final Piper to earn a match win, with a 6-1, 6-0 score.
 
Le played at No. 5 and Yang was at No. 6, each dropping their match. Le's score was 6-3, 7-6 and Yang's was 6-2, 6-2.
 
The Pipers will look to make it two in a row as they take on Northwestern on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. They will then return to MIAC play against St. Thomas on Friday.
