ROGERS, Minn. - The Hamline women's tennis team (1-7, 0-5 MIAC) continued their MIAC schedule on Saturday, falling to Concordia Moorhead (3-4, 1-4 MIAC) 8-1 at Rogers Tennis Club.

The Pipers were successful in the No. 2 doubles spot, as first years
Lily Vang and
Taylor Vyskocil grinded out an 8-7 win. First year Elise Beirbaum and junior
Taylor Hopkins teamed up in the No. 1 slot, falling 8-4 in their match and seniors
Janie Schwartz and
Bae Wa played at No. 3, falling 8-1.

In singles, first year
Jersi McAlpine was the only one who would take her match to three sets. It was an incredibly close match, but McAlpine would come out on the losing end of a 7-5, 1-6, 10-8 decision at No. 6 singles.

Bierbaum and Vyskocil battled in the No. 1 and No. 2 singles spots, as Bierbaum dropped her match 6-3, 6-4 and Vyskocil dropped her match 6-4, 6-3. Vang was in the No. 3 spot, conceding the match 6-2, 6-3. Hopkins and Schwartz rounded out the group at No. 4 and No. 5, with Hopkins falling 6-1, 6-3 and Schwartz falling 6-1, 6-2.

The Pipers will take a break from their conference slate on Wednesday, heading to Northwestern for a 4:30 p.m. matchup. They will return to MIAC play on Friday, taking on St. Thomas. Â
