ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Hamline women's tennis team (1-8, 0-6 MIAC) took on St. Thomas (10-3, 8-0 MIAC) this afternoon, falling 8-1 to the Tommies, who are currently undefeated in MAIC play. First year
Jersi McAlpine provided a bright spot for the Pipers, winning her match at No. 5 singles by a score of 6-4, 6-2.

Janie Schwartz was the only other HU player to take multiple games in the match, as she fell 6-3, 6-1 in the No. 4 slot. First year
Taylor Vyskocil played in the No. 1 spot, falling 6-1, 6-0.

Lily Vang was in the No. 2 spot, junior
Taylor Hopkins was at No. 3, and senior
Bae Wa played at No. 6, all conceding their match 6-0, 6-0.
In doubles, Vyskocil and Vang teamed up in the No. 1 spot, dropping the match 8-2. Hopkins and McAlpine were at No. 2, falling 8-0, and Schwartz and Wa played at No. 3, yielding 8-1.
The Pipers were originally scheduled to play again tomorrow, but their match with Macalester has been postponed until Saturday, May 1 due to predicted cold weather tomorrow morning. HU will now look ahead to their non-conference matchup with Northwestern on Monday, April 26. Start time is 5:00 p.m. at UNW's campus.
