ROGERS, Minn. - The Hamline women's tennis team (1-9, 0-7 MIAC) faced St. Catherine (8-3, 5-3 MIAC) last night at Rogers Tennis Center, falling 9-0 in the matchup. The Pipers are set to compete three more times this week, heading to Northwestern on Thursday, Saint Benedict on Friday, and Macalester on Saturday.
 
In singles play, first year Elise Bierbaum was in the No. 1 spot, falling 6-1, 6-0. First year Taylor Vyskocil played at No. 2 and first year Lily Vang played at No. 3, dropping their matches 6-0, 6-0 and 6-2, 6-2, respectively.
 
Junior Taylor Hopkins was at the No. 4 spot, falling 6-3, 6-0 and senior Janie Schwartz conceded her match at No. 5 singles, 6-1, 6-1. First year Jersi McAlpine played in the No. 6 slot, yielding 6-4, 6-2.
 
In doubles, Bierbaum and Hopkins played in the No. 1 spot, falling 8-0. Vyskocil and Vang took three games off their opponent in the No. 2 spot before dropping the match and Schwartz and senior Bae Wa played at No. 3, falling in an 8-1 decision.
