ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Hamline men's tennis team (2-9, 1-7 MIAC) took on Macalester on a chilly Saturday afternoon, falling 9-0 on the road. The Pipers play again on Monday when they will head to non-conference opponent Northwestern for a 5:00 p.m. match.

The closest match of the day came from No. 2 doubles, where first years
Dominic Warzecha and
Isaac Hultberg battled, but fell 8-7 to opponents Matthew Sullivan and Aidan Toner-Rodgers. Senior
Nazeer Robinson and first year
Sam Thompson played at No. 1 doubles, falling 8-1 to Sam Hochberger and Ben White. Sophomores
Allan Yang and
Sean Le played in the No. 3 slot, dropping their match 8-0.

Robinson took multiple games off Hochberger in their match at No. 1 singles, but yielded 6-3, 6-2. Thompson played at No. 2, losing to Jeffrey Jorgensen 6-2, 6-1. Warzecha played in the No. 3 spot, conceding his match to Karsten Knutsen 6-0, 6-1 and Hultberg fell to White 6-4, 6-1 at No. 4.
