ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Hamline men's tennis team (3-9, 1-7 MIAC) took down Northwestern (17-4) this afternoon, giving the Eagles only their fourth loss of the season. The Pipers won all three doubles matches in the victory, in addition to triumphing at No. 3 and No. 4 singles.
 
In the No. 1 doubles spot, senior 
Nazeer Robinson and first year 
Sam Thompson came out on the winning end of an 8-4 decision. The matches at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles were both extra close, as the Pipers managed to win 8-6 in both spots. First years 
Isaac Hultberg and 
Dominic Warzecha were successful in the No. 2 spot and sophomores 
Sean Le and 
Allan Yang were victorious at No. 3.
 
Hultberg and Warzecha were the ones to win in singles, helping Hamline earn the team win. Hultberg won his match at No. 3 by a score of 6-2, 6-0 and Warzecha won in the No. 4 spot, 6-2, 6-1.
 
Robinson fell at No. 1 singles to Davis Pfaff by a score of 6-3, 6-1 and Thompson dropped his match at No. 2 by a score of 6-2, 7-5. Le played at No. 5, falling 6-2, 6-3 and Yang rounded out the group at No. 6, falling 6-2, 6-2.
 
The Pipers will close out the season on Saturday, hosting Carleton at St. Paul Central High School at 3:00 p.m.
