SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University women's tennis team opened their season with a pair of matches against Wartburg College and Grand View University in Waverly, Iowa. The Pipers dropped 9-0 decisions in both matches.
The losses give Hamline an 0-2 record.

Taylor Vyskocil came close to victory in her second set as her 1-6, 5-6 loss to Madison Overmann in No. 2 singles highlighted Hamline.
Grand View 9, Hamline 0 (Box Score)
Taylor Hopkins commanded the Pipers in No. 3 singles as she battled Fredrika Kuttenkeuler to a 4-6, 7-6, 7-10 heartbreaking loss.
The Pipers will return to action on September 24-27 at the ITA Midwest Regional in Whitewater, Wisconsin.
