DAY ONE RESULTS
WHITEWATER, WIS.—The Hamline University women's tennis team embarked on day one of the ITA Midwest Regional in Whitewater, Wisconsin on Friday. The singles flight resulted in a trio of first-round victories courtesy of Taylor Hopkins, Jersi McAlpine, and Lily Vang. The doubles bracket resulted in one Pipers win thanks to Hopkins/McAlpine.
In the Midwest Singles A Bracket, Hopkins took down UW-Superior's Kallie Olson 6-0, 6-4 in the opening round. The second round saw Hopkins drop a 6-4, 6-2 decision to Luther's Bryce Bigelow. The Midwest Singles B Bracket saw McAlpine notch a 6-3, 6-1 win over Concordia Wisconsin's Jordana Burkland. McAlpine's second-round match resulted in a 7-5, 6-1 loss to Luther's Renata Martinez. In the Midwest Singles G Bracket, Lily Vang took down Gustavus Adolphus's Rose Han 6-1, 6-4 before she dropped a 6-3, 6-4 decision to Luther's Lexi Hastings in the second round.
The Midwest Doubles C Bracket saw Hopkins/McAlpine team up for an 8-3 win over St. Mary's (Minn.) Ella Boomgarden/Kara Hand. The second round saw Hopkins/McAlpine drop an 8-3 score to UW-Eau Claire's Sophie Geske/Madison Magnani.

- Midwest Singles F: Georgia Nissen (Wartburg) defeated Taylor Vyskocil 6-0, 6-2
- Midwest Singles H: Gabby Flynn (Wartburg) defeated Sydney Hubbard 6-1, 7-6
- Midwest Singles C: Jania Carter-Johnson (Coe) defeated Ava Helmer 6-1, 6-2
