SAINT PAUL, MINN,—The Hamline University men's hockey team made the short trek to the Schwan's Super Rink to face Bethel on Friday night. The Pipers surrendered three unanswered goals that ended with Braeden Bartoo's game-winner at 2:44 of overtime that gave Bethel a 3-2 victory.
Hamline falls to 3-11-1, 1-6 MIAC, while Bethel Improves to 11-6-1, 4-4-1 MIAC.

All of the scoring throughout regulation occurred in the third period. Carson Simon and Sam Dabrowski each tallied a goal within a minute of each other at 5:22 and 6:11, which gave Hamline a 2-0 lead.
Special teams propelled Bethel throughout the stretch run as their final two scores came on the power play. Jacob Papesh cut Bethel's deficit to 2-1 at 7:15 of the third, before power-play tallies from Jack Bayless at 13:58 of the third, and Bartoo's overtime winner at 2:44 sealed a 3-2 victory.
Andrew Erwin, Ryan Brandt, Bailey Sommers, and Erik Dahl each notched an assist for Hamline, who were even with Bethel in the shots department at 34-34.
Kevin Lake made 31 saves in net for Hamline, while his counterpart Ridge Gerads stopped 32 shots for Bethel.
The Pipers will host Bethel at TRIA Rink on Saturday, January 29 at 7 p.m.
