WINONA, MINN.—The Hamline University women's soccer team embarked on a Saturday-afternoon affair at Saint Mary's (Minn.), where they dropped a 2-0 decision.
The Pipers fall to 3-8-4, 1-7-1 MIAC, while the Cardinals improve to 9-5-2, 4-3-2 MIAC.
Saint Mary's 2, Hamline 0
The Cardinals outshot the Pipers 11-1 in the first half, which resulted in a pair of goals courtesy of Brooklyn McKinney in the 21st minute, and Ella Lahart with 0:38 on the clock. Hamline weathered the storm over the final 45:00 as they held a 6-3 advantage in shots, but it didn't result in any goals.
Saint Mary's out shot Hamline 14-7. Tali Shradar and Sydni Thompson each tallied a pair of shots for the Pipers.
Lauren Sicora made six saves in net for Hamline, while Alexis Nguyen stopped five shots for Saint Mary's.
The Pipers will travel to Gustavus Adophus on Tuesday, October 25 for a 3:30 p.m. match.
