Both teams combined for 42 shots, the most in a single game this season. The Gusties held a 24-18 advantage in that category, but it was Hamline who weathered the storm with a 9-8 edge in the second half. The Pipers' final shot of the contest in the 87th minute resulted in a goal courtesy of Maya Dempsey with an assist from Carin Currier that made the score 1-0. It marked Dempsey's team-leading fourth goal of the season.

Sicora's fifth shutout consisted of a season-high 14 saves. Abby Goodno tallied eight stops in net for Gustavus.

Dempsey and Cailey Schmitt tied for a team-high five shots.

Hamline will close their 2022 season at Pat Paterson Field on Saturday, October 29, when they'll host Concordia (Minn.) for senior day at 1 p.m.
