ST. PETER, MINN.—The Hamline University men's soccer team paid a visit to No. 5 Gustavus Adolphus on Wednesday afternoon. The Pipers held their own against the nationally ranked Gusties, who capitalized on a 1-0 victory behind Raphael Cattelin's goal in the 89th minute.
Hamline falls to 4-12, 1-8 MIAC, while Gustavus stays unbeaten at 12-0-4, 8-0-1 MIAC.

Hamline goalkeeper Ethan Schauer stopped 11 shots against a Gusties attack that finished with a 34-4 advantage in shots. Wesley Sanders converted three saves in the goalkeeping win for Gustavus.
Each team was assessed a pair of yellow cards in the contest. Gusties forward Owen Johnson registered a game-high six shots.
The Pipers will close their 2022 season at Pat Paterson Field on Saturday, October 29 against Concordia (Minn.) at 3:30 p.m.
