SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University women's volleyball team made the short trip to St. Catherine for a Saturday-evening MIAC match, where they dropped a 3-1 (25-16, 19-25, 25-17, 25-20) decision.
The Pipers fall to 3-17, 0-4 MIAC, while the Wildcats improve to 12-6, 3-2 MIAC.

Hamline had their best hitting performance in the 25-19 second-set win, where six different individuals contributed a kill en route to a team total of 11 and a .194 percentage.
Faith Johnson had a well-rounded performance with seven kills, and 11 digs for Hamline. Julianna Boyum and Lindsay Eckelman added six kills a piece. Jenna Rubbelke came through with a team-high 18 digs and two service aces, while Eckelman contributed defensively with four blocks. Katrina St. Clair added 12 assists for the Pipers.
Megan Rosen notched a game-high 15 kills for the Wildcats, who hit .168 in the match against Hamline's .084 mark.
The Pipers will travel to St. Olaf on Wednesday, October 12 for a 7 p.m. game.
