SAINT PAUL, MINN.- The Hamline University men's basketball team was in action Tuesday to open MIAC play against St. Scholastica at Hutton Arena. The Pipers entered the game looking for their third-straight win and got it, posting a 72-50 decision over the Saints.
The win moves the Pipers to 3-1 (1-0 MIAC), while the Saints will drop to 2-2 (1-1 MIAC).

The Pipers opened the game locked in on the defensive end giving the Saints problems the whole first half, holding them to 8-24 shooting from the field and just 1-9 on three pointers in the opening half. With the defense shutting things down sophomore
Bradley Cimperman provided the offense scoring 18 of his 22 points in the first half helping the Pipers open up a 37-21 lead at the half. Then in the second half Cimperman handed things off to
Austin Holt, who scored 15 points in the second half to help Hamline extend their lead even further as the Pipers cruised to a 72-50 win.
To go with his game-high 22 points
Bradley Cimperman added six rebounds and four steals, while
Austin Holt finished with 18 points and added eight boards. First-year
Sam Hoffman added 14 points.
For the Saints, Nick Carlson led the way with 17 points while Issac Hendrickson added 10.
The Pipers will be playing again on Wednesday, November 30 when they host Bethel at 7 p.m.
