HANCOCK, MICH.—The back end of a two-game road swing at Finlandia was upon the Hamline University men's hockey team on Saturday. The Pipers completed the weekend sweep with a 4-1 decision over the Lions.
Hamline improves to 5-6-1 MIAC, while Finlandia falls to 1-10-1.

Two-of-four Hamline goals occurred on the power play. Jordon Halverson gave the Pipers a 1-0 lead on the man advantage at 9:45 of the second period. Hamline went on to kill two penalties before Bailey Sommers registered a goal at 16:25 of the second to widen things to 2-0. The Lions responded :37 later courtesy of Kevin Bostwick at 17:02 of the frame, which cut their deficit to 2-1.
The third period saw Hamline hold a 9-3 edge in shots. This resulted in a power-play goal from Sam Dabrowski at 9:10 that made the score 3-1, and an empty-netter from Scott Moyer at 19:43 that widened the margin to 4-1.
Halverson finished the game with a goal and two assists.
Maximillian Haselbacher stopped 21 shots in net for Hamline, while Dakota Meyer made 28 saves for Finlandia.
The Pipers will travel to UW-Stevens Point on Friday, January 6 for a 7 p.m. game.
