MOORHEAD, MINN.—The Hamline University men's hockey team closed their two-game road swing at Concordia (Minn.) on Saturday, where they couldn't even the weekend series with a 2-1 loss.
The Pipers fall to 3-7-1, 1-6 MIAC, while the Cobbers improve to 5-4-1, 3-2 MIAC with the sweep.

It was an evenly fought match as Concordia (Minn.) held a slim 26-25 advantage in shots. The closing minute of the first period resulted in a 1-0 Cobbers lead behind Hunter Olson's goal at 19:25. After a scoreless second period, Concordia made things 2-0 at 15:06 of the third behind Ben Luedtke's tally.
The Pipers prevailed on the extra attacker courtesy of Andrew Erwin at 19:47 of the third frame, which cut their deficit in half at 2-1 before their comeback bid ran out of time.
Bailey Sommers was credited an assist on Erwin's goal. Kevin Lake made 24 saves in net for Hamline, while Aaron Dickstein matched that total between the pipes for Concordia.
The Pipers will begin a two-game non-conference road swing at Finlandia on Friday, December 9 at 7 p.m. (ET).
