Finlandia held Hamline to a dismal two shots on goal in the opening period. The Lions exploited that with a 1-0 lead behind James Eng's tally at the 6:11 mark. The Pipers peppered Lions goaltender Dakota Meyer for 15 shots on goal in the second frame, but none found the back of the net. Finlandia was able to capitalize on one of their four shots on goal in the second period as Nate Holm pushed the score to 2-0 at 12:18.

The third period resulted in six total goals. Five of them came from Hamline as goals from Sam Dabrowski, Ike Taraszewski (power play), Carson Simon (power play), Jordon Halverson, and Jackson Wille (empty net) secured a come-from-behind 5-3 victory over Finlandia.

Taraszewski and Simon each notched a goal and an assist, while Bailey Sommers contributed a pair of assists for Hamline.

The Pipers outshot the Lions 37-19. Kevin Lake stopped 16 shots between the pipes for Hamline, while Finlandia goaltender Meyer made 32 saves.

Hamline will look to convert a weekend sweep of Finlandia tomorrow, Saturday, December 10 at 4 p.m. (ET).
