Joshua Thomsen Breaks Own 60 Meter Hurdle School Record... Again at South Dakota State Meet

SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University men's track & field team embarked on the Carleton Meet of Hearts, and South Dakota State Invite on Saturday.

At South Dakota State, Joshua Thomsen broke the school record in the 60 meter hurdles for the fourth time this season with a time of 8.23 in the preliminaries, good enough for fourth place. He went on to secure fourth in the finals with a 8.28.

At Carleton, Christian Velishek dominated for the men with a second-place mark of 6.55m in the long jump, and third place in the high jump with a 1.88m. Michael Braun trailed Velishek in fourth place with a 1.83m in the high jump, and also earned fourth in the triple jump (13.02m).

The 55 meter hurdles was highlighted by Zach Angstman's third-place time of 8.38.

Lucas Doyle dominated the field athletes with a fifth-place toss of 14.87m in the weight throw.

The Pipers will compete at the MSU-Mankato Maverick Invitational on Friday, February 18.
