ST. PAUL, MINN- The Hamline University Men's Basketball team closed out their regular season when Macalester took the short trip north up Snelling Ave. on Monday night. Before the game the Pipers honored their three seniors Jake Larson, Cooper Berg, and Andrew Jackson. However, the Scots led the game wire to wire, coming out on top with the 76-62 win to wrap up the season.
Hamline with the loss drops to 9-15, 7-12 MIAC, the Scots improve to 12-12, 9-10 MIAC.

Macalester spent the first half holding off the Pipers attempts to work down their lead, getting it up to as high as nine after Hamline was as close as one. The Pipers struggled shooting in the first 20 minutes and trailed 31-23 at halftime.
The Pipers opened the second half making multiple pushes to get the lead back under five points. But the Scots used timely shooting to respond each time hitting 7 second half 3 pointers and pulled away in the end.
The Pipers were led by a game-high 18 points and 4 3pt FGs from Cooper Berg, Jake Veldman had 12 points, and Jake Larson added 11 to go with 5 assists.
The Scots were paced by 16 from Colby Gold, with Gabriel Ramos and Caleb Williams each adding 12.
The Pipers will start the MIAC playoffs Saturday at 3pm taking on St. Mary's in Hutton Arena.
