COLLEGEVILLE, MINN.—The Hamline University men's hockey team made the one-hour trek to Collegeville to face Saint John's in a rare Monday-night non-conference bout. The Johnnies were too much for the Pipers as they cruised to an 8-3 victory.
The Pipers fall to 3-15-1, while Saint John's improves to 13-6-2.

The Johnnies' 8-3 victory was highlighted by their 3-of-5 mark on the power play. Hamline received goals from Joe Martin, Jackson Wille, and Bailey Sommers. Sommers added an assist to his stat line for the Pipers, who were narrowly outshot by a 37-35 margin despite the score.
Trevor Wong notched 24 saves over 40:00 in his first goaltending start for Hamline, while Maximillian Haselbacher stopped five shots over 20:00 of play. Michael Magnuson notched 32 saves in net for the Johnnies.
Hamline will host UW-Stout in a non-conference game at TRIA Rink on Wednesday, February 9 at 4 p.m.
