SAINT PAUL, MINN—The Hamline University men's hockey team hosted UW-Stout in a rescheduled contest from January 8 at TRIA Rink on Wednesday afternoon. The Pipers found themselves in a 2-0 hole midway through the first period before they closed the game with four unanswered goals en route to a 4-2 non-conference victory over the Blue Devils.

Three-of-six goals scored in the contest occurred with a man advantage. Nick Bowlin's power-play tally at 8:32 of the first period gave the Blue Devils a 1-0 lead, before Hayden Clark made things 2-0 a little over three minutes later at 11:46 of the first.

Momentum shifted in Hamline's direction in the opening frame's closing minutes courtesy of
Tyler Nyman at 19:41 that cut Hamline's deficit in half at 2-1.

The Pipers outshot UW-Stout 20-8 from that point forward, which resulted in three goals courtesy of a pair from
Brendan Sheehan, and one from
Jackson Wille.

Hamline finished the game 2-of-5 on the power play, as UW-Stout committed six-of-eight penalties in the contest.
Ryan Murray registered a pair of assists for the Pipers offense, who out shot Stout 29-16.

Kevin Lake made 14 saves, while Tyler Masternak stopped 25 shots in goal for the Blue Devils.

The Pipers will return to MIAC play on Friday, February 11 at Gustavus Adolphus for a 7 p.m. game time.
