Pipers Take Fourth Place at Saint John's Invitational

RESULTS

COLLEGEVILLE, MINN.—The Hamline University men's track & field team competed at the Saint John's Invitational on Saturday, where they took fourth place out of eight teams with 84 points. Saint John's took home the team title with 282 points.

Joshua Thomsen claimed gold in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 15.65, followed by Zach Angstman's third-place tally of 16.89. Thomsen crossed the finish line at 55.25 in the 400 meter hurdles, good enough for second place.

Aric Brodie led the distance group in the 1500 meter run, where he tallied fifth place with a 4:12.41.

Lucas Doyle was dominate in the discus with a fourth-place toss of 39.21m, and maintained that same standing in the hammer with a 46.68m. The javelin was all Christian Velishek, who tallied fourth place with a 46.54m.

Michael Braun captured second place in the high jump with a 1.90m, while Velishek matched that standing in the long jump with a 6.52m. Braun took third in the triple jump with a 12.77m.

The Pipers will return to action at the St. Thomas Twilight on Wednesday, April 13.
