SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University men's track & field team made the short trek to the St. Thomas Tomcat Twilight for a rare Wednesday-night meet.
Michael Braun was victorious in the triple jump with a leap of 13.16m. Christian Velishek pulled down fifth place in the long jump with a mark of 6.54m, followed by Michael Braun (6.40m) and Sam Dabrowski (6.00m) in sixth and seventh place, respectively.
Joshua Thomsen led the sprints group with a sixth-place time of 22.72 in the 200 meter dash. He kept that momentum alive in the 110 meter hurdles, where he secured eighth place with a time of 15.42.
Aric Brodie was the top NCAA Division III finisher in the 3000 meter steeplechase, where he crossed the finish line at 10:05.73 en route to fourth place.
Seventh place was in the cards for Blake Johnson, who cleared the bar at 3.55m in the pole vault.
The Pipers will return to action at the University of Minnesota Brave Like Gabe Invite on Wednesday, April 20.
