Men Shine at Concordia St. Paul Holst Invite

RESULTS

SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University men's track & field team made the short trek to the Concordia St. Paul Holst Invitational on Saturday.

Christian Velishek shined for Hamline in the long jump with a second-place mark of 7.00m.

Joshua Thomsen led the Pipers in the 400 meter hurdles with a fifth-place time of 55.61. Aric Brodie came through for the distance group in the 3000 meter steeplechase, where he notched sixth place with a 10:11.50. The sixth-place trend continued courtesy of Christian Velishek in the high jump with a leap of 1.90m, followed by Braun in seventh with a 1.90m achieved on more attempts. Braun continued the seventh-place trend with a 12.81m in the triple jump.

Lucas Doyle commanded the field athletes, as he registered seventh place in the hammer throw with a 50.73m. The discus saw Doyle come through with a ninth-place toss of 42.50m.

The Pipers will return to action at the Macalester Rider/Bolstroff Invitational on Saturday, April 30.
