SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University men's tennis team made the short trek to Northwestern (Minn.) for a Tuesday-afternoon non-conference match, where they dropped a 7-2 decision.
The Pipers fall to 5-12, while the Eagles improve to 17-4.

The Pipers found themselves in a 3-0 deficit after doubles before they strung together a pair of singles victories. Sam Thompson prevailed in No. 2 singles with a 6-3, 7-6 victory, while Elijah Krause took care of business in the No. 4 slot with a 7-5, 7-5 win.
Hamline will travel to Saint John's (Minn.) on Thursday, April 28 for a 5:30 p.m. match.
