RESULTS
SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University men's track & field team made the short trek to the Macalester Rider/Bolstorff Invitational on Saturday, where they registered fifth place out of eight teams with 63 points. St. Olaf claimed the team title with 193 points.
Christian Velishek claimed a pair of first-place finishes in the high jump (1.98m), and the long jump (6.49m.). Second place was in the cards for Lucas Doyle, who registered a 45.82m in the hammer throw. The javelin resulted in a fourth-place mark of 43.98m for Sam Dabrowski.
Reece Thomas kept the fourth-place trend alive in the 200 meter dash with a 23.90, and continued that momentum in the 100 meter dash with a sixth-place time of 11.62. Zach Angstman prevailed in the 100 meter hurdles, where he secured fourth place with a 16.57. Angstman was effective in the 200 meter hurdles with a sixth-place time of 1:03.12.
The 4x100 meter relay team of Angstman, Joshua Thomsen, Thomas, and Velishek captured third place with a 44.36.
The Pipers will compete at the St. Thomas Tommie Twilight on Wednesday, May 4.
