DAY TWO RESULTS
WINONA, MINN.—The Hamline University track & field teams embarked on day two of the 2022 MIAC Outdoor Championship in Winona, Minnesota on Saturday. The Pipers women took seventh place out of 12 teams with 80 points, while the men took eighth out of 11 teams with 37 points.
For the women, Jailyn Robinson led the way with a MIAC Title in the 100 meter dash with a 12.07.
Lindsey Bernardy prevailed with a second-place time of 58.40 in the 400 meter dash. Bernardy continued that momentum in the 4x400 meter relay with Lucy Hoelscher, Emme Nelson, and Alexandra Maddux as they registered third place with a 4:01.79.
Maddux (2:16.00) and Hoelscher (2:19.86) kept their dominance up in the 800 meter run with second and third-place finishes.
Maddie Sowinski came through with a 3.20m in the pole vault, good enough for fifth place. McKenna Hulslander was solid in the javelin with a sixth-place toss of 35.99m.
The men were led by Joshua Thomsen's third-place time of 53.98 in the 400 meter hurdles, and a fourth-place mark of 14.73 in the 110 meter hurdles. Christian Velishek kept the third-place trend alive in the high jump with a 1.94m, followed by Michael Braun's seventh-place tally of 1.89m. Braun prevailed in the triple jump in sixth place with a 13.33m.
Lucas Doyle led the throwers with a sixth-place mark of 49.55m in the hammer throw, followed by a ninth-place tally of 39.78m in the discus.
The Pipers will compete in various last chance meets over the next week with hopes to qualify for the 2022 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championship on May 26 - May 28 in Geneva, Ohio.
