SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University men's soccer team squared-off against St. Olaf in a Saturday-afternoon MIAC bout at Pat Paterson Field, where they dropped a 4-0 decision.
The Pipers fall to 2-4, 0-2 MIAC, while the Oles improve to 4-3, 2-0 MIAC.
St. Olaf 4, Hamline 0
St. Olaf's Shea Bechtel came through with a monstrous day that included one goal and two assists. The Oles, who out shot Hamline 24-5 in the contest, notched a pair of goals in each half en route to a 4-0 victory. Hakeem Morgan, Victor Gaulmin, and Zac Harvey-Lathan also contributed a goal for the Oles. Morgan registered a game-high five shots, while Robert Cooper commanded the Pipers offense with a team-high two shots.
Twenty-six players saw game action for St. Olaf.
Luke Rimington made seven saves in net for Hamline, while St. Olaf's Peter Forseth recorded one stop in the complete-game victory. Each team was assessed a yellow card.
The Pipers will travel to NAIA member Viterbo on Wednesday, September 21 for a 4 p.m. match.
