DUBUQUE, IOWA—The Hamline University women's tennis team picked up their first victory of the 2022-23 campaign with a 6-3 decision at Dubuque on Sunday. The Pipers improve to 1-1, while the Spartans fall to 0-8.

The doubles flight resulted in a 2-1 lead for Hamline, led by an 8-5 victory for Sydney Hubbard/Christine Muller at the No. 2 position. The No. 3 slot saw Chloe Reyes/Jenna Mahnke win via forfeit.
The No. 4, 5 and 6 singles slots resulted in forfeit wins for Hamline, while Chloe Reyes prevailed with a 6-3, 6-1 domination at the No. 3 position, which clinched the match.
The Pipers will host Bethany Lutheran at Washington Tech High School on Saturday, September 24 at 11 a.m.
