RIVER FALLS, WIS.—The Hamline University women's soccer team made the short trek over the state line to battle WIAC foe UW-River Falls on Wednesday afternoon. The Pipers registered their fourth 0-0 tie of the season. Hamline's four ties through just seven games is a new single-season school record.
The Pipers move to 1-2-4, while the Falcons' record goes to 7-0-2.
Hamline 0, UW-River Falls 0
Eight-of-12 Hamline shots in the contest occurred in the second half, led by three apiece from Emily Hillis and Catie Regan. The Pipers' 12 shots in the contest was a slim advantage over River Falls' 10, as Madyson Shew led the way with three shots.
The game's lone yellow card was assessed to Hamline in the 34th minute.
Lauren Sicora made six saves in the complete-game shutout for the Pipers, while Kaylie Krueger stopped seven shots in the shutout tie for UW-River Falls.
Hamline will host Bethel at Pat Paterson Field on Saturday, September 24 at 1 p.m.
