SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University women's volleyball team hosted UW-River Falls in a Wednesday-night non-conference bout at Hutton Arena. After trailing for most of the opening two sets, the Pipers threatened with a 20-16 edge in the third frame. The Falcons weathered the storm with a 9-2 run to close the match, which secured them a 3-0 (25-13, 25-18, 25-22) victory.
Hamline falls to 2-14, while UW-River Falls improves to 14-5.

The Pipers took a 20-16 lead in the third set thanks to 12 Falcon errors. UW-River Falls weathered the storm with four kills and a pair of service aces that highlighted a 9-2 run en route to a 25-22 set-three win, and 3-0 match victory.
Lauren Wilborn led Hamline with 13 digs, while Kaitlyn Kotek came through with 13 assists and two aces. Lindsay Eckelman and Kennedy Tutak each had five kills and two blocks for the Pipers.
Kameri Meredith led the Falcons with 13 kills, while Brooke Voight paced the defense with 19 digs.
The Pipers will travel to Augsburg on Friday, September 30 for a 7 p.m. match.
