DULUTH, MINN.—The Hamline University men's soccer team prevailed with a come-from-behind 2-1 victory at St. Scholastica on Wednesday afternoon behind a pair of second-half goals from Ryder Tomlinson Sterud.

The 30th minute saw St. Scholastica's Arturo Salgado-Trejo drive the ball down the left side, where he sent a pass to Alexander Estrada-Cortez from 40 yards out. Estrada-Cortez took a couple steps before he fired a pass to Tommy Zuzek, who converted a one-time header from 10 yards out that gave the Saints a 1-0 lead.

The second half was all Hamline, who out shot St. Scholastica 13-5 in that frame. Ryder Tomlinson Sterud converted the Pipers' eighth shot of the second half, as he rebounded an attempt off the right post and beat St. Scholastica goalkeeper Liam Lothian to his right to knot the game at 1-1 in the 70th minute.

Hamline took a 2-1 lead in the 81st minute, when James Sondo sailed a pass from the left side over to Tomlinson Sterud, who capitalized a one-time header five yards in front of the net.

Sondo registered a game-high five shots for the Pipers, followed by four from Nate Vogel, and three from Tomlinson Sterud.

Luke Rimington stopped two shots in the goalkeeping victory for the Pipers, while his counterpart Liam Lothian made three saves for the Saints. Hamline out shot St. Scholastica 18-8 in the contest.

St. Scholastica was assessed five-of-six yellow cards in the contest.
