SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University men's soccer team hosted No. 7 Carleton for senior day at Pat Paterson Field on Saturday afternoon. The nationally-ranked Knights were too much in a 4-0 shutout over the Pipers.
Hamline falls to 6-4-2, 2-4-2 MIAC, while Carleton improves to 13-1-0, 6-1-0 MIAC.
The Pipers honored seniors Seth Hardesty, Kaleb Hoye, Samuel Kendrick, Cole Brennan, Luke Rimington, and manager Charlie McAlister for senior day.
Carleton 4, Hamline 0
All Carleton goals occurred in the opening half courtesy of Blake Jones in the second minute, Ben Pennell in the 10th, Briggs Priem in the 21st, and Owen Flanagan in the 24th. Pennell paced the Knights offense with one goal and two assists for a four-point outing.
Carleton outshot Hamline 28-2.
Luke Rimington made nine saves in net for the Pipers, while Daniel Linder didn't record a save between the pipes for the Knights.
The Pipers will host UW-Eau Claire on Tuesday, October 17 at 2:30 p.m.
