SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University women's soccer team faced defending MIAC Regular Season Champion Carleton at Pat Paterson Field on Saturday for senior day, where they dropped a 5-0 decision.
Emily Hillis, Julissa Ruiz Torrejon, Catie Regan, and McKenzie Wyman were honored for senior day.
The Pipers drop to 1-10-1, 0-6-1 MIAC, while the Knights improve to 11-1-1, 7-0-1 MIAC.
Carleton 5, Hamline 0
Casey MacVeagh had a five-point outing for the Knights that included the game's first two goals in the fourth, and 18th minutes that made the score 2-0. Ashlyn Haigh extended that margin to 3-0 in the 31st minute, before MacVeagh picked up her fifth point of the game on Cate Patterson's goal in the 59th minute that made things 4-0. Lauren Caldwell scored less than a minute later to put it to 5-0.
Carleton out shot Hamline 30-4.
Isabella Jensen had a career-high 16 saves in net for the Pipers, while Ezra Kucur stopped two shots between the pipes for the Knights.
Hamline will host St. Catherine for their 2023 home finale on Wednesday, October 18 at 3:30 p.m.
