"Huge win for the Hamline men against a really tough UW La-Crosse team," said Pipers head coach Spencer Jones. They started out the match sweeping the doubles 3-0. Seniors Elijah Krause and Isaac Hultberg had a convincing 8-5 victory at one doubles, Rumeal Setts and Elden Lee also winning 8-5 at two doubles. Finishing it off for the Pipers Sophomore Tyler Rousslang and freshman Keegan Terrone had a great win together at three doubles 8-3. Here is what Coach Jones had to say about the Pipers hot start, "We came out strong and swept all three doubles matches with big-time clutch play in tight situations."

Heading into singles needing only two victories the Pipers were eager to finish the Eagles off. Hamline then took four out of the six singles matches, including three, third-set tiebreak victories. First collegiate singles wins for number one singles, Rumeal Setts (6-1, 4-6, 1-0), and number six singles Keegan Terrone (7-6, 6-4). The other Pipers that went home with victories Monday night were number three singles Tyler Rousslang (7-6, 2-6, 1-0), and number five singles Elijah Krause (6-7, 6-2, 1-0). Coach ended his message with, "And a big welcome back to the singles court for Krause."

The Pipers will host St. Olaf on Saturday, October 14th at 11a.m.
