SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University women's soccer team made the short trip down Snelling Avenue to face Macalester on Saturday afternoon. The Pipers came up empty in a 1-0 loss to the Scots.
Hamline falls to 1-12-1, 0-8-1 MIAC, while Macalester improves to 9-5-1, 5-2-1 MIAC.

It wasn't until the 86th minute when the Scots scored the game's lone goal courtesy of Ella Thomsen. Mia Brisbin was credited with the assist. Macalester had the upper hand in shots 16-7, led by Ali Nhouyvanisvong's game-high five.Â
Sydni Thompson and Maya Dempsey each recorded two shots for Hamline.
Isabella Jensen made five saves in net for the Pipers, while her counterpart Abigail Heuga stopped two shots.
Hamline will travel to Bethel on Wednesday, October 25 for a 3:30 p.m. match.
