WOMEN'S RESULTS
NORTHFIELD, MINN.—The Hamline University men's and women's cross country teams traveled to Northfield, Minnesota to compete in the 2023 MIAC Championship on Saturday. The women took ninth place with 255 points, while the men claimed 11th with 328 points. The Carleton women won the women's race with 25 points, and the St. Olaf men were victorious with 34 points.
Mohammed Bati (Men, Augsburg, 24:36.6) and Fiona Smith (Women, Saint Benedict, 19:55.1) won the individual titles.
Libby Roberdeau commanded the Piper women with a 54th-place time of 24:28.7. Not far behind Roberdeau was Alicia Maddox, who registered 60th place with a 24:35.6. Abby Tapajna crossed the finish line at 25:04.9, good enough for 75th place. Coming through in 79th place was Anabel Bradley, who clocked a 25:22.9. Aspen Clarksean (25:41.6), Daniela Sanchez-Castillo (25:52.5), and Wren Anderson (26:41.7) rounded out the top-seven Hamline finishers on the women's side. Sarah Redepenning (27:01.1), Tatiana Otero-Ortiz (28:01.3), Delia Neria (28:21.2), and Savannah Janes (30:23.2) also competed for the Piper women.
The men were led by Will Saari's 67th-place time of 27:22.0. Lucas LiaBraaten registered 77th place with a 27:35.1, followed by Connor Artner's time of 29:56.9. lestyn Zapata (31:48.0) and Jasper Roetter Gresback (34:22.7) also competed for the Hamline men.
The Pipers will compete at the NCAA North Regional in Colfax, Wisconsin on Saturday, November 11. The men's race will start at 11 a.m., followed by the women at 12 p.m.
