COLFAX, Wis. --- The Hamline University men's and women's cross country teams closed out their 2025 campaigns with solid efforts at the NCAA Division III North Region Championships, highlighted by strong individual performances and valuable postseason experience for a young roster.

WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

Junior Brooke Baumann continued her standout season, leading the Pipers with a 76th-place finish in 24:05.7 — one of the strongest regional showings by a Hamline woman in recent years.
Senior Alicia Maddux capped her career on a high note, running a season-best 25:14.5 to place 134th. Fellow junior Anabel Bradley crossed in 149th with a time of 25:32.9.
A young supporting group rounded out the scoring: The women's team showed promising depth and development, with upperclass leadership and strong improvements among the underclass runners.

MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

Senior Lucas LiaBraaten once again paced the Hamline men, placing 146th in 28:14.3 over the 8K course. Sophomore Wade Tuggle followed as the Pipers' second finisher, taking 162nd in 28:49.7.
The remainder of Hamline's lineup featured mostly first- and second-year athletes gaining key postseason experience: While the men's team leaned heavily on youth, the regional race served as a valuable development opportunity as the Pipers continue to build depth for future seasons.
Both Hamline squads wrapped up the regional meet with encouraging performances, highlighted by a top-80 finish for the women and a strong final race from their men's senior leader. With much of the roster returning in 2025, the Pipers head into the offseason with experience gained and momentum to build on.
