NORTHFIELD, MINN.—The Hamline University men's hockey team traveled to St. Olaf for the back end of the home-and-home series on Saturday evening. The Oles came from behind with six unanswered goals over the final two periods, which secured them a 7-2 victory over the Pipers.
Hamline falls to 3-5-0, 1-3-0 MIAC, while St. Olaf improves to 4-3-1, 2-1-1 MIAC.

Both teams were nearly even in many statistical categories such as blocked shots, face-offs, and shots on goal. The Oles prevailed in the most important category after they trailed on two occasions at 1-0 behind AJ Carls' goal at 1:21 of the first period, and 2-1 courtesy of Bailey Sommers at 00:28 of the second frame.
The Pipers were called for a charging penalty at 2:22 of the second period, which eventually turned into an Eric Brown goal at 4:21 that knotted the score at 2-2. That was the start of six unanswered goals that locked a 7-2 victory for St. Olaf.
The Oles had the slight edge in shots on goal (28-24) and faceoffs (31-30), while each team came up with eight blocked shots.
Sommers led Hamline with one goal and one assist. Kyle Mortenson, Nikolai Dulak, and Maximillian Haselbacher each picked up an assist. Eric Brown and Troy Bowditch each tallied two goals for the Oles.
Haselbacher stopped 20 shots in net for Hamline, while his counterpart Thomas Lalonde made 22 saves between the pipes for St. Olaf.
The Pipers travel to Concordia (Minn.) for a non-conference game on Tuesday, November 21 at 7 p.m.
