Hamline 3, Bethel 2 (OT)
Hamline out shot Bethel 14-11 in a scoreless first period before their special teams play highlighted the second and third frames. Taraszewski's power-play tally at 2:23 of the second period, and Dallas Duckson's shorthanded score at 1:13 of the third gave Hamline a 2-0 lead. The Royals were able to rebound from that power-play mishap soon after at 6:11 of the third, when Tyler Braccini's goal cut Hamline's lead in half at 2-1. Jack Brown kept that momentum going for Bethel, as he knotted the score at 2-2 two minutes later at 8:15.
Brandon Bissett won the opening face-off in overtime, which paid dividends as they kept possession until Halverson's goal gave the Pipers a 3-2 victory. Bissett and Ryan Brandt assisted on the play.
Carson Simon and Andrew Erwin also picked up assists for Hamline, who were out shot by Bethel 36-25. Kevin Lake made 34 stops in net for the Pipers, while Austin Ryman made 22 saves between the pipes for the Royals.
