BLOOMINGTON, MINN.—The Hamline University women's tennis team opened their spring schedule with a dual against UW-Stout at the Lifetime Fitness in Bloomington on Friday, where they dropped an 8-1 decision.
"Despite missing two of our top four players, our women battled very hard tonight," said Pipers head tennis coach Spencer Jones. "Several really close losses that could have gone either way. Our young team will keep fighting and improving. We are looking forward to being at full strength on our upcoming weekend trip to Wisconsin."
The Pipers fall to 1-4, while the Blue Devils improve to 3-6-1.
