ORLANDO, FLA.—The Hamline University women's tennis team picked up a 7-2 victory over Curry in their opening match of spring break at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida on Tuesday.
The Pipers improve to 2-6, while Curry falls to 1-13.
"It was a great 7–2 victory for the young Hamline women today," said Pipers head tennis coach Spencer Jones. "First college wins for Chloe Reyes, and Natalie Randall. Special recognition to Chloe Reyes for coming back to win a nail-biter third set tiebreak."

The Pipers kept that momentum going in singles, where they were victorious in the bottom five matches. Jenna Rubbelke, who became the first individual in school history to play two sports (softball) in one day, was victorious 7-5, 6-2 at No. 2. Chloe Reyes's nail-biter at No. 3 consisted of a 4-6, 7-6, 1-0 victory.
Natalie Randall came through with a convincing 6-1, 6-2 decision at No. 4 singles, while Lynn Nguyen prevailed 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5. Christine Muller rounded out Hamline at No. 6 with a 6-0, 6-1 win.
The Pipers will face Salve Regina at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, Florida tomorrow, Wednesday, March 15 at 3 p.m. (ET).
